Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which uses objects or negatives, to block out areas of light sensitive, coated paper which when exposed to sunlight develops an image. In this workshop we will use pre-treated, professional grade sheets to expose images students create by arranging supplied flowers, greenery, and other natural objects. We will discuss a range of available techniques and methods for this versatile printing technique.
I'm very excited to begin offering workshops and classes in partnership with local shops + education venues in my community. In addition to Hazelmade, I am also a guest educator and lecturer at Kent State University School of Visual Communication Design for topics ranging from graphic design, marketing, to typography. I have completed several courses in the MFA program at KSU for Printmaking. This workshop combines 2 of my loves; botanicals and printmaking.
**Please note, we will be working with water and a permanent ink dye; please dress accordingly.
Workshop fees are non-refundable. In the event that I need to cancel a workshop you will be offered a choice of an alternate date, a refund, or a credit valid for future workshops.
Sometimes a workshop will need to cancel due to low registration. We will send an email to notify you that this is a possibility prior to cancellation. If a workshop has to be cancelled you will get an email at least 48 hours in advance. Low registration cancellations will result in either an alternate date, a refund, or a credit valid for future workshops.
