Job Description:

Ready to join a growing team and to bring your bright energy to Hazelmade? We're on the lookout for enthusiastic and organized person interested in Event Support + Sales  to represent our brand at pop-up markets and events. If you're someone who lights up when connecting with people and thrives in a fast-paced, fun atmosphere, this could be your ideal role!

What You'll Be Doing:

    • Customer Relations: Greet and engage with all customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer questions about the product, materials, and creative process. Tell the story behind the work to connect customers with the Hazelmade brand.

    • Sales: Confidently handle all sales transactions using Shopify’s Point-of-Sale (POS) system. This includes processing credit card payments, handling cash, and providing receipts.
    • Booth Management: Depending on shift hours, assist with the setup and breakdown of the booth at the beginning and end of market day. This may involve lifting and carrying display items (within reasonable limits).

Requirements: 

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Physical ability to lift 30 lbs., move boxes, walk distances, and stand for extended periods.

How It Works:

After a successful interview process we will schedule a brief paid shift at one of our in person markets. This allows you to see the environment and tasks involved in this position. If it's a good fit we follow up with a formal contract and other onboarding steps. During the test market the owner will be onsite the whole time to answer questions, lead setup / tear-down, etc.

Contractors receive access to a Google Spreadsheet with the bulk of our schedule for the year. You will add your availability and preferences. We build a final schedule from this and will reach out to confirm bookings.
